In support of Slow Food USA

KCBS Radio, San Francisco, California
Narsai David, KCBS Food News
May 9, 2005

Theres a wonderful event being put on by Slow Food USA, along with SavorCalifornia.com.

Im Narsai David to say it takes place next Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 4 in the afternoon at the Barrel Room of the CIA. Of course, you know thats the Culinary Institute of America up in St. Helena.

Now, this is in support of Slow Food USA. They have specialty food and beverage producers from SavorCalifornia.com, and theyve set this thing up sort of like a farmers market, within the CIA. You can go online to see the incredible long list of producers at SavorCalifornia.com.

Price is $35 a person. You can buy tickets online. Or you can phone 877-Slow Food. That sounds pretty easy.

Just a quick glance at some of the three pages of producers listed:
Cowgirl Creamery
Cypress Grove Chevr
Fabrique Dlices
Fiscalini Cheese Company
McEvoy Ranch. They make that incredible olive oil.
McFadden Ranch, organic spices and herbs and all kinds of goodies. Even wine now.
North Coast Brewing Company
Pt. Reyes Farmstead Cheese
Tierra Vegetables. The most extraordinary dried peppers I think Ive ever seen come from Tierra. As a matter of fact, they even make their own chipotle peppers.

Sounds like a lot of fun.
With KCBS Food News, Im Narsai David.
